What is the RénoVert Tax Credit?

It is a tax credit that is reimbursed for home renovations that involve ecological improvements. The maximum amount that you can claim for your home is $10,000. The amount of the tax credit is as follows: 20 % of the eligible expenses exceeding $2,500 for agreements signed before March 31st, 2019.

For example, if you wish to convert your oil heating system to electricity and the total amount of the conversion is $9,500, the amount of the tax credit will be calculated as follows:

Total amount of the conversion: $9,500

Admissible amount: $9,500 -$2,500 = $7,000 x 20% = $1,400
